This insurance is suitable for those category of employees who are not considered as Workmen and who the organisation they work for consider their contribution worthwhile such that there arises a moral obligation (as opposed to a legal one under the Workmen Compensation Laws) to pay compensation to such employees or their dependants, should the employees sustains injuries or die in the course of their employment or outside of it. There is the choice to be made to cover all staff under this policy as a staff retention strategy.
This policy provides for persons who sustain bodily injury, disability or death, resulting from an accident caused by external, violent and visible means. Cover is on twenty-four (24) hour, 365 days basis
Benefits
- Death: Compensation is 100% of Capital Sum (Capital Sum can be two (2) or more times the annual salary but the minimum is equivalent to the annual salary)
- Permanent Total Disability: Compensation is 100% of Capital Sum (Capital Sum can be two (2) or more times the annual salary but the minimum is equivalent to the annual salary)
- Temporary Total Disability: Compensation is1/52 times Annual Salary
- Medical Expenses: Compensation is 2% of the Capital Sum
- However the insured can proposed an amount for Medical Expenses and Temporary Total Disability and an additional premium charge in the event when Annual Salary of the insured is inadequate.
